Administration
The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) will administer
TerraNova, Third Edition,
Multiple Assessments and CAT Plus Mathematics
Computation in Spring 2015.
TerraNova, Third Edition,
Multiple Assessments will be administered to all
students in Grades 3–9.
CAT Plus Mathematics Computation will be administered to Levels 1 and 2
ELL students in Grades 3–9. Be sure students only fill in the Mathematics
Computation section of the CAT Plus student book or answer sheet (page 3 of
the answer sheet).
Assessment materials for Multiple Assessments and CAT Plus are being
shipped to each individual school and should arrive at DDESS schools by
November 14, 2014, and at DoDDS schools by December 5, 2014. Please
inventory all materials as soon as possible, so that any final request for
materials can be made and filled before the date of the assessment. The
short/add window for additional materials is November 24, 2014–January 16,
2015.
Note:
The Grade 3 CAT Plus student books are consumable; the students mark
their responses in the books, not on answer sheets. The CAT Plus student books
for Grades 4 through 9 are reusable; the students mark responses on page 3 of
the answer sheets.
This manual contains specific information about activities that take place
before, during, and after the assessment. You may copy any pages of this
manual for distribution at any DoDEA site or print a copy from the CTB
website (

ensure proper scoring of the test materials.
Please review the contents of this manual and all supplemental materials
as soon as possible. These instructions will explain the procedures for
completing the documents necessary for securing, distributing, and returning
the assessment materials. Following these instructions will ensure accurate
reporting of results.
Read these directions carefully before distributing any
materials to teachers.
All teachers will need to be thoroughly familiar with the Test Directions for
Teachers for
