Food Safety: Hygiene
Using cleaning supplies properly and following directions is important for hygiene. Wash hands regularly, especially if you are handling meat, by using warm water and soap for 15-20 seconds, rinse with clean water, dry thoroughly with a clean towel or air dryer to ensure that bacteria is not transferred from hands to food or from one food to another. Also, when handling food, wear a clean apron, remove watches and rings, don't brush or comb hair in the kitchen, cough, sneeze, spit, smoke or touch your nose, teeth, ears or hair.
