Balance

Walking on a balance beam takes great skill and coordination. It is a physical challenge to remain on the beam without falling off while using arms and legs to walk in a straight line. Balance in a work of art is very similar, and also takes great skill. An artist will attempt to balance the figures and objects in a work of art in various ways.
