Buildings and Skylines: Introduction

One of man’s primary basic needs is shelter—someplace to keep warm and out of the elements. Throughout history, shelters have changed and become more advanced as technology improved. In addition to constructing homes, other architectural structures have been built, such as office buildings, places of worship, bridges, and pyramids.


This unit will take you through the process of building these structures, and then look at design and planning, two areas greatly impacted by architecture.
