Materials: Liquid Media
Ink is a very common liquid material used for drawing. Pigments, or colored elements, are suspended in a binder (a liquid substance). This can then be applied using a pen (back in the Renaissance era a pen was made from a quill, or feather).
The ink could also be applied with a brush. A technique favored by Asian cultures, this method is known as a wash, since the color is brushed on in thick strokes creating depth and variation.
