Parallelograms: Diagonals

The last property of parallelograms states that the diagonals bisect each other.


Take a look at this figure:

If we know that this is a parallelogram, we know the following:

• Diagonal AC bisects diagonal BD

• Segment AM is congruent to segment CM (segment AM is congruent to CM)

• Segment BM is congruent to segment DM (segment BM is congruent to DM)
