Polygons: Introduction

It’s amazing how many shapes we see in the world around us. Many of these shapes are very familiar to us and we know what they mean even without reading the sign. For example, the red octagon is known to be a stop sign. The red inverted triangle is known to be a yield sign. Those people who drive regularly know what these shapes mean. In this section, we are going to learn the names for many of these shapes and learn about some of their properties. You will be much more familiar with the shapes when you complete this section.
