Point-Slope Form of Linear Equations
Another version of linear equations is the point-slope form. This version is useful when you are given a slope and one point on a line, and are asked to find the equation of that line. The point slope form of a linear equation is written as y – y1 = m(x – x1). In this version of a linear equation, m is equal to the slope, and (x1, y1) is a point on the line.
