¿Dónde estás y por qué?

In this practice activity, you are going to look at the picture and then say where you are and why. To say why we are at a place, we're going to say "necesito" (I need...). Look at the first one and then see if you can do the others. If you find an activity such as this one challenging, you probably need to give more time to the Unit vocabulary.

Did you wonder why you say "necesito" but the next verb is in the "infinitive" (-ar, -er, -ir) form? Think about what the words mean. "Necesito comprar", I need to buy. Comprar is that "to buy" form of the verb. Generally when there are two verbs together, the first one is in a form that agrees with a subject pronoun but the other verb is in the infinitive form. You saw this also in "me gusta escribir"--I like to write. If you have trouble with any of these concepts, these are things you need to communicate with your teacher.

Practice with those sentences above even further and see now if you can say use "El señor" as the subject instead of the one given. Then try "el señor y la señora".
