The Coordinate Plane: Introduction

Just like X marks the spot on a treasure map, points represent specific locations.  We use coordinates on a plane to name the location of points and can find distances between points, just as you may find the distance between two locations on a map.  In this section, you will learn more about the coordinate plane and how Algebra and Geometry are related.
