Conic Sections: Circles

Symmetry of a Circle

A circle has two types of symmetry. The first is rotational symmetry through the center. If you rotate a circle through the center, no matter the angle of rotation, the circle will always look exactly the same.

The second is line symmetry, as long as the line goes through the center of the circle. If the line goes through the center of the circle, it will split the circle in half.
