Parabolas: Introduction
The equation of a parabola is used to model such objects as a telescope mirror and satellite dish receivers. In this section we will be discussing how to graph parabolas that are centered at the origin and at some other point on the coordinate plane. We will also be discussing how to write the equation of a parabola given different pieces of information.
