Unit Objectives

After you have completed this unit, you will be able to:

1. Obtain, exchange, and present written and oral information about yourselves and your personal characteristics using:
   • the verb ser, hay, tener
   • color and clothing vocabulary
   • school related vocabulary
   • proper noun/adjective agreement
2. Demonstrate awareness that gestures are an important part of communication and that gestures may differ between English and Spanish.
3. Listen to and recite the De Colores song.
4. Re-assess the use of Spanish in your area and your use of Spanish.
5. Identify use of commonly occurring cognates, such as -ción, -dad, -mente.
6. Review semester information.
