Speaking Assignment: De Colores
De Colores is a song that originated in Spain but is sung by children all over the Spanish speaking world. It even has actions that go with it. The children move their arms as if they were flying like a bird. When the rainbow is mentioned (el arco iris), they open their arms wide. During the chorus they cross their arms when they sing "grandes amores" (big loves), open them when they sing "de muchos colores" and move their right arms to their hearts when they sing "a mí".
Listen and then see if you can sing along, doing the actions. The translation to the right is not a literal one but will give you an idea of what the song is about
