かいもの(買い物)
Teenagers everywhere love to shop and Japanese teenagers are no exception to this. There are a wide variety of places to shop in Japan, including markets, malls, boutiques and shops of all kinds. In this unit, we are going to learn about some interesting places one can shop in Japan, as well as learning how to carry on a conversation with a sales clerk when you want to shop for and buy something. You will learn to talk about fashion in Japanese, and learn additional expressions to use when talking about what you are wearing and what style of clothing you like. As you can see in the picture of the しょうてんがい(商店街)or shopping arcade, the shopping districts in Japan are generally very colorful and full of life.
