Let’s compare things in a chart below. Click in the first column to see a correct answer.

テニス / ゴルフ / おもしろい
やきゅう / すいえい / むずかしい
サッカー / フットボール / あぶないです。
キャンプする / ひこうきで りょこうする / たかい
バレーボール / バスケットボール / やさしい

You may want to look at the last Unit if you have trouble making comparisons. Basically, saying “A は B より おもしろいです”is saying "A is more interesting than B." Many times in English, we say "-er" on the end of an adjective to get this form. "Faster, smarter," etc. This form is what we know of as the "comparative”. To form it in Japanese: 

A は Bより Adjective です Adverb + Verb

This is when we compare two things. Let's see what happens when we compare three things.

5ドルかかります。
6ドルかかります。
7ドルかかります。
あかいほんは たかいです。
あおいほんは あかいほんより たかいです。
3さつのほんのなかで、くろいほんが いちばんたかいです。

Let’s look at other example… 

Butterflies Butterflies 2
Butterflies 3
ちょうは きれいです。
もっと きれいです。
すべての ちょうのなかで これが いちばんきれいです。

This form is what we know of as the "superlative". It is the "est" form of the adjective. "Fastest, smartest". To form it in Japanese:

AとBとCのなかで OR ~のなかで
A が
いちばんAdjective です OR いちばんAdverb + Verb
