Before we begin working on solving exponential and logarithmic equations, let’s look at a graph of an exponential function more closely and see if we can estimate some values of the function.

Analyze the following graph of f(x) = 2^x-1.

f(x) = 2^x-1

In your notes estimate the value of the function at x = 1, x = 1.5, x = 2, x = 2.5 and x = 3. Then go on to the next page to begin working on solving exponential and logarithmic equations.
