Exponential Growth and Decay: Introduction
The population of the world has grown quite a bit over the last few hundred years. In the year 1700 the population of the world was 600,000,000. In the year 2000 the population had grown to 6,000,000,000. How does this population growth happen? This has to do with exponential growth. New members of a population will give birth to other members of the population and this process continues. In this section we will work on population growth along with investment of money. These are all real world applications of exponential growth and decay.
