Presentations, Images, Copyright, and 508 Compliance
When designing products for professional learning, it is very important to understand copyright laws and Section 508, as well as, best practices for using images and graphics. Using the correct image will convey ideas and concepts much more effectively than text alone.
A compelling image will engage your audience and increase knowledge retention. However, using the wrong image has no effect at all and will disengage your audience.
Online Professional Learning Course Exemplar
The design of the course, as discussed in this presentation, is based on the instructional design model, “Nine Events of Instruction” developed by Robert Gagné. In the later slides, you will see the TOP TEN list of Instructional Design Best Practices.
A highly effective online course will include the Nine Events of Instruction during Lesson Construction and Instructional Design Best Practices during the development and design phase. Both components have equal importance and are complementary to one another.
