Let's begin by learning to talk about practical things. You will want to know how to tell what day it is in Spanish. Study the calendar to see if you already know any of the words.

Talking about the days of the week, did you notice anything different about the way the names of the days of the week are written in Spanish? Obviously, they are in a different language. But, in English, we capitalize the names of the days of the week and in Spanish, we do not!
There is another difference, though, about how the calendar is in English and in Spanish. Can you tell what it is? In general, the calendar in English begins with which day? (Sunday, right?) In Spanish, what is the first day of the week to appear on the calendar? (lunes - Monday)
