やきゅう（野球）は日本人が一番好きなスポーツです。プロ野球もにんき（人気）がありますが、まいとし（毎年）なつ（夏に、ぜんこく高校野球たいかい (the Annual National High School Baseball Tournament) が、こうべ（神戸）のこうしえんきゅうじょう(Koshien Stadium in Kobe)であります。
かくけん (each prefecture) のだいきょうチームが、しあい（試合）にでますから、みんな おうえんします。
More Spare Time, じゆうじかん 自由時間
Remember to keep in mind that fluency in Japanese (or any foreign language) does not happen overnight. It may seem to be a very slow process at times, but better fluency is only achieved with more practice and by seeking new ways to practice and use your new skills.
Can-Do for this unit:
- Talk about sports and other activities.
- Learn expressions to talk about feelings you are experiencing.
- Learn to talk about who things belong to.
- Review talking about activities in the past.
- Talk about what hobbies or activities you like to do in your spare time.
You should keep in mind that during the course of this unit, More Spare Time, じゆうじかん 自由時, you should spend time doing vocabulary activities and drilling vocabulary (flashcards) at least 15 minutes daily. You should practice writing kanji and kana or any other vocabulary that you are having difficulty learning.
