Stimulants are a group of drugs that enhance brain activity and increase feelings of energy, alertness, and well being. The most widely used stimulant is caffeine. The strongest and most abused stimulants are amphetamines, methamphetamine, crack, and cocaine. Generally, stimulants increase the body's metabolism, heart rate, and blood pressure and make the person more energetic and hyperactive.
