During this time, many people may come into your life as friends and romantic interests. What choices will you make for the first time? Will you make them as an informed and responsible friend and partner?
This unit is about relationships, dating, and sex. All of these involve sound decision making and effective communication. The more you know about how engage in healthy relationships, the more likely you are to make good choices when it comes to dating and sex.
First we will explore dating and how it develops into a long-term partnership and marriage.
What is the difference between dating and a serious partnership such as marriage?Dating is most often seen as a temporary relationship in which partners get to know one another to see if they might be a good match for a relationship. Long-term partnerships, such as marriage, require a serious decision to share life responsibilities with one other person.
