Translations
The first transformation we are going to look at is translations.

A translation simply “slides” an object from one position to another. It does not change the size, shape or orientation of the object. |
Take a look at the following translations.

Translated Star |
Notice that the dark green star has been translated to the right. The result is the light green star that is the same size, shape and orientation.

Translated Smiley Face |
Notice that the dark yellow smiley face has been translated down. The result is the light yellow smiley face that is the same size, shape and orientation.

Notice that the dark red heart has been translated to the left and down. The result is the light red heart that is the same size, shape and orientation.
