Rotations and Dilations: Introduction
Cells
Scientists often study very small parts of living objects called cells. Cells make up our skin, our blood, our muscles…everything about our body. Cells are extremely small and individual cells cannot be seen by the naked eye. In order to see these cells, scientists use microscopes to make the cells appear larger. The microscopes enlarge the image of the cells. This is another transformation, called dilation. In this section we are going to study rotation and dilations and end the unit (and the course) with a fun project that applies the transformations you have learned.
