Surface Area and Volume of Prisms and Cylinders: Introduction
Soup Can
Have you ever taken the label off of a soup can? When you lay it flat, it makes a rectangle (assuming it was cut off cleanly!). When the soup company makes these labels, they need to know how big to make the labels so that they cover the can. They also need to know how much soup would fit in a can with a certain radius and height. In this lesson, we are going to be covering these topics, which are surface area and the volume.
