Surface Area and Volume of Pyramids and Cones: Introduction

Ice Cream Cone

I don’t know about you, but I love ice cream.  It is the perfect summertime treat. Even the cone is good.  In this lesson, we are going to look closely at the cone shape and find the surface area and volume of the cone.  The surface area describes how much dough is needed to make the cone and the volume describes how much ice cream the cone can hold (not including what is piled on top!).
