Je veux parler français. Je ne veux pas parler anglais. The basic rule of negation in French (making a sentence negative) is that we put ne in front of the verb and pas after it. This is not a new concept to us. Try your hand at it here, making these sentences negative. After you have written the activity in your notebook, click on each affirmative sentence to see if you have done the negation correctly.
Being a review concept, if you are having trouble, be sure to let your teacher know so that some suggestions can be made for additional practice with this.
Try to answer these negatively, making sure to change the indefinite (un, une, des) or partitive (du, de la, de l', des) articles when you make the sentences negative.
The French love to labor over cooking a delicious meal and then they love even more to savor it with friends and family. This is one of the French "joie de vivre" -- joys of living. Dining in France or in the French-speaking world is not simply eating as it sometimes is in the United States--it is an experience to treasure each day. |
