Interpreting Literature: Introduction to Vocabulary Study

The purpose of this module is two-fold. The primary purpose is the same as with each module: to introduce you to new literary selections, terms, and ideas. The secondary purpose is to introduce you to the format of this course and the types of activities you will complete over the semester. In addition to reading a variety of literary works, you will also learn about the “mechanics” of reading and writing: how to use context clues, how to decode unfamiliar terms, and how to unlock understanding of vocabulary through learning Greek and Latin root words.
