Thinking Like a Psychologist
These two jars of marbles show how psychologists use random selection to choose participants, known as subjects, for psychological research. If you blindly transfer a small number of marbles from the larger jar, you will have a proportional number of red and blue marbles in the smaller jar that is similar to the number of red and blue marbles in the larger jar.
