Thinking Like a Psychologist
Meet James Randi. He exemplifies what it means to be a skeptic. He has tested and debunked many psychic claims. To learn more about him, try a Google search. To think like a psychologist, you too need to develop a healthy dose of skepticism and critical thinking as well.
One of the goals for this course is to help you separate uninformed opinions from examined conclusions, and to help you think like a psychologist. Psychology uses the methods of science to understand why people think, feel, and act as they do. We won’t rely on common sense or vivid examples to arrive at our conclusions. Instead we’ll use a scientific approach.
