Chapter 7: System-wide Assessment, Post-Secondary Assessment and
Alternate Assessment
Students with disabilities are held to the same accountability standards as students without disabilities.
Schools are responsible for ensuring that students with disabilities achieve academic success that
enables them to pursue post-secondary education or competitive work opportunities. All students with
disabilities must be included in system-wide assessments with or without accommodations or through
an alternate assessment.
