Graded Speaking: Dichos
The Spanish language, like the English language, has lots of sayings or dichos or refranes. You have learned some of them--la práctica hace al maestro, for one.
Look at this one and see if you are able to understand what it means:
El traje no hace al hombre pero le da figura.
We have a similar saying in English. Do you know what it is? "Clothes don't make the man." In Spanish, the saying means that "The suit doesn't make the man but it does give him the figure."
Do you know other sayings like this in Spanish? For this assignment, you will need to search for 3 interesting sayings in Spanish. After you have found 3 suitable phrases, record yourself saying each one once.
