Travel, りょこう〔旅行〕
りょこう(旅行)はだれ(誰)もがいっしょうにいちどはしたいことです。せかい(世界)をりょこし(旅行史)、私達のまわり(周り)の世界をしることは、じゅうよう(需要)です。日本人はこくないをはじめ(始め)、かいがい(海外)を旅行するのが好きです。 では、海外旅行をけいかくすること、またその旅行について話すことをべんきょう(勉強)します。とてもわくわくします。
Everyone wants to travel at least once in a lifetime. It’s important to travel and know the world around us. Japanese people like to travel domestically and abroad. So you can plan a trip abroad too. In this unit, you will learn how to talk about planning an overseas trip. It’s very exciting.
Remember to keep in mind that fluency in Japanese (or any foreign language) does not happen overnight. It may seem to be a very slow process at times, but better fluency is only achieved with more practice and by seeking new ways to practice and use your new skills.

- Learn to talk about taking trips
- Plan domestic and international trips
- Learn to ask about where things are located in a city
- Express activities that are going to happen in the near future
- Talk about activities that happened in the past
- Talk about things you know and people or places you are familiar with
- Learn additional false cognates
- Review telling time
You should keep in mind that during the course of this unit you should spend time doing vocabulary activities and drilling vocabulary (flashcards) at least 15 minutes daily. You should also practice writing kanji and kana and new vocabulary.
