Where Do You Live?
We learned how to talk about where people live. Let’s review that briefly. Do you remember how to say the following?
- I live in… わたしは …に すんでいます。
- Suzuki san lives in… すずきさんは …に すんでいます。
- Your Japanese teacher lives in… にほんごの せんせいは …に すんでいます。
Do you remember all of that? Do you remember the particles は and に to mark the topic of the sentence and the location respectively? Can you think of how other people are called? See if you can say the following.
- Mr/Ms Tanaka (your friend) たなかさん
- Mr/Ms Yamamoto (your teacher) やまもとせんせい
- my friend わたしの ともだち
- Japanese teacher にほんごの せんせい

The words for the names of the months are very simple. がつ is a suffix to express "month" and is simply added after 1-12.
