Listening
We mentioned this in French 2a, but it is a good idea to reinforce the concept of ....listening practice. In order to develop your skills in a second language to the fullest, you need lots of listening practice. If you are not taking advantage of the many resources available to us, you really should be. Here are a few ideas.

  • French language TV
  • French language music
  • Internet radio in French
  • Internet online newspapers from French-speaking countries (many have video presentations that will have listening practice on them)
  • French movies

As you progress in French, you will want to be able to quickly understand what people are saying to you. One way to ensure this can happen is to give yourself as much listening practice as you can find. Ask your teacher for additional suggestions or specific resources.
