Tour de France L'idée de commencer une course de plusieurs jours est venue d'un jeune journaliste, Georges Lefèvre, qui l'a proposée à Desgrange. Desgrange a trouvé un moyen de financer la course et Lefèvre a couvert l'évènement, parfois à vélo lui-même et parfois en train pour prendre de l'avance sur le peloton. Il y a eu un Tour de France tous les ans depuis le premier en 1903, sauf de 1915 à 1918, pendant la première guerre mondiale, et en 1945, pendant la seconde guerre mondiale.
You may have to read the selection several times before it becomes "easy" for you to understand. This is very normal and is to be expected.
