Journal: Find Your FIRM
Use the FEMA Website to find a FIRM for a community near you. In your unit journal, record the community number of your local FIRM and whether or not there is any flood risk in your area. If your area has locations with flood risk, write down why you think flood risks exist for your area. Are floods in your area most likely to come from seasonal rains, from snowmelt, from hurricanes, from tsunamis, or storm surge? If there are no flood risks for your area, record why you think that is so.
Please write your journal entry in the Journal template. You will be prompted at the end of this unit to turn in all of your journal entries.
