Linear and Quadratic Functions: Graphing Quadratic Functions

Section Warm-Up

We are going to be using a form of the quadratic function that looks like f(x) = a(x – h)2 + k. This form can be developed by working with the quadratic function you are most familiar with,
f(x) = ax2 + bx + c. We will learn how to do this in future sections. For now, visit Ron Blond's website and manipulate the values of a, h, and k. Make notes on your observations on what happens to the graph as a, h, and k are changed.
