Lektion 8: Meine Zukunft

Bald bist du mit der Schule fertig. Was machst du dann? Studierst du auf einer Universität? Wo? Wie lange? Welches Fach? Verbringst du vielleicht ein Jahr auf einer deutsch-sprachigen Universität? Das wäre sehr schön!

Oder vielleicht wirst du nicht studieren sondern einen Beruf oder ein Handwerk lernen? Was interessiert dich? Arbeitest du gern mit den Händen? Bist du lieber in einem Geschäft? Hast du schon einen Beruf ausgesucht?

In dieser Lektion sprechen wir darüber. Du lernst viele Vokabeln, die mit der Universität oder den Berufen zu tun haben. Aber zum Glück gibt es keine neue Grammatik. Wir wiederholen ein paar Sachen nur.

  3. learn a bit about the history of two universities
  4. learn about spending your junior year at a German-speaking university
  5. learn about the Gastarbeiter situation in Germany
  6. review relative pronouns
  7. review um … zu
  8. review how to make the feminine words for occupations, etc.

To Make German Special Characters On a Pc (Windows machine)

  1. Hold the ALT key down while you type the corresponding 3 or 4 digit number (see below) on the number pad.
  2. Make sure Num Lock is on.

Example: to get ä, hold down the Alt key, type in 132.

To get this letter: Hold down the Alt key and type the number. Example Meaning

Remember: Umlauts are very important in German. They serve two purposes:

  1. They indicate a difference in meaning. Example: "schon" means already and "schön" means pretty.
  2. They make a difference in pronunciation.
