The Endocrine System
The nervous system isn’t the only system in the body that affects our actions, thoughts, moods and behavior. In contrast to the nervous system with its speedy electrochemical system of sending messages through the body, there is the endocrine system. The endocrine system is much slower and relies on the body’s glands to secrete hormones into the blood stream.
