If the CSC determines that no additional data are needed to determine if the student continues to have
a disability and require special education services, the parents must be contacted and informed of the
committee’s decision through PWN. The parents have the right to request an assessment, and the CSC
must honor this request.
If the CSC suspects a disability other than the one in which the student was originally found eligible for
special education and related services, the CSC must develop an assessment plan that addresses all
assessment procedures required for eligibility under the suspected disability.
