Big Ideas
Shared Leadership: 21st Century leaders transform the
educational community through a shared vision that promotes continuous school
improvement, effective professional practice, digital age learning and citizenship
through shared leadership. The strategies under
the shared leadership strand include:
Administrative leadership
Teacher Leadership
Student Leadership
Research indicates that the one factor
distinguishing successful 21st century schools and
districts is strong leadership. While individual
teachers can adopt the practices of a 21st century classroom, the real impact on
students is if an entire school and district embraces and works toward the same vision.
