DoDEA Common Writing Rubrics
DoDEA and Catapult Learning produced rubrics around the three text types of writing prioritized by the
College and Career Ready Standards for Literacy (CCRSL): argument, informative/explanatory, and narrative
writing. Click below to see some examples of Common Rubrics used by the DVHS.
DoDEA Banded (Grade‐Sp ciϔic)
Writing Rubrics
DoDEA also has three Grade‐
Speciϐic Writing Rubrics: one for
argumentative writing, one for
informative writing, and one for
narrative writing. These rubrics
are closely aligned with the grade‐
level CCRSL for Writing and can be
used to provide students with
feedback for their
readable
or
polished writing
