Los números

 

     When we are dealing with hundreds of things, we have to remember to have the number agree in gender with the noun. Observa aquí:

Yo tengo doscientos lápices.
Yo tengo doscientas plumas.

     All numbers above 200 follow this formation.

     Another important point to remember when using numbers, is to drop the "o" from numbers ending with "uno":

Tengo veintiún bolígrafos. (not veintiuno)

     Do you remember what to do if the noun is feminine? The number agrees in gender only:

Tengo veintiuna plumas.
