Culture Yakitori やきとり(焼き鳥)

Don't forget that you can prepare some recipes of typical Japanese foods very easily. One such recipe would be the one for "yakitori"—skewered grilled chicken. Here is a recipe you might want to try. It is very easy and very delicious.

Yakitori Ingredients: Chicken thighs (without bone and skin)
Green onion
Soy Sauce
Sugar
Mirin or sake (optional)
Honey or maple syrup (optional)
Small wooden spears Preparation:

Mix together 4 tablespoons of soy sauce, 3 table spoons of sugar, a little bit of honey or maple syrup (optional) a little bit of mirin (optional), and heat until it’s homogenous.

Cut chicken thighs about one inch square pieces.

Put the chicken piece into the already prepared sauce and let it stand for a while.

Cut the green onion in pieces about one inch in length. Spear three or four pieces of chicken and some leek on each wooden stick.

Grill them or bake them in oven.
