Speedword

review Les verbes

In Unit 3, you learned to change a regular -er verb to signifiy that a different person is doing an activity. Try these as a practice activity to review that. Use the verb regarder.

nous
je
elles
tu
elle
Paul et moi (me)
vous
on

If you were not able to do these easily, please go back to practice this. You can also practice outside of the course at French Assistant.com.

tvWatch the presentation to see what you can do in the places you learned above. As you view, try to guess the meanings of the new words.

activity Practice
Use this practice session to become familiar with the concepts of this lesson module.

After you have practiced, do this little self-check to see if you know what the new words mean. The verbs will be given in their infinitive (to + action) form.

regarder les tableaux
acheter un CD
vendre des fruits
envoyer une lettre
retirer de l'argent
acheter une glace
réparer ses chaussures
acheter des fleurs
acheter des médicaments

View Presentation In the presentation, you probably noted that some of the verbs didn't change in the same way as the ones we learned in Unit 3. This is because these verbs are slightly different - they are verbs that form their infinitive with -ir or -re verbs instead of -er. View the following to review the -er verbs and to learn how the -ir and -re verbs changee.

Try your hand at changing these verbs.

je, manger
ils, vendre
elle, finir
elles, vendre
vous, attendre
tu, choisir
je, demander
il, descendre
nous, répondre

You should not go on until you can do these with relative ease. If you reload the page, you can try them again and do these kinds of activities over and over again.

assignmentWriting Assignment

Write at least 8 sentences of things that you do. Then write about one friend who does similar things and reconstruct the sentences, talking about your friend. Go to Writing 1a to turn it in.

This assignment is worth 24 points.
