Remembering and Honoring the Dead: A Eulogy

E4_9.7.3.eulogy.gif

A eulogy is a speech that is given as a tribute to a dead person. Eulogies are usually given during a funeral service by people who were close to the person who has just died. They are usually between five and ten minutes long.

When writing a eulogy, you should first recognize that you are participating in something that is an honor. For many around you, your words will be part of their grieving process. While the passing of a loved one is a mournful event, remember to keep your words positive.
