Discussion: Weather Idioms
An idiom is a common word or phrase spoken out of context. For example, when you tell someone "Don’t rain on my parade," you are not really worried about them literally sending rain down on your marching band. Instead, you are asking them to not spoil your good time.
Idioms about the weather frequently occur in the English language. What idioms about the weather can you think of? Post some of the ones you think of on the discussion board and take a look at some of the ones your classmates post. You will probably be surprised to realize how many there are.
Please post your response to the Discussion: Weather Idioms link and respond thoughtfully to the posts of other students. This discussion entry will not be graded.
