Tutorial: American Political Culture
Political culture is defined as a commonly shared set of beliefs and values about politics and government. Our culture affects how people believe that politics should be carried out. Most countries have a unique political culture affected by their history and people.
Americans also have a common political culture. This political culture, like our institutions of government, has been affected by our own history. We do have a unique history, as do other nations of the world, and this history, as well as our own unique circumstances, have influenced how we think about government and politics. The following tutorial will explore the American political culture.
